Hailey Erin Schmidt
MS student
Undergraduate Education
B.S. in Environmental Science, University of Texas at San Antonio, 2022

Research interests:

My research interests include landscape ecology, geospatial science, and the use of machine learning to better inform natural resource management. These themes will be included in my Master’s project, which will utilize hyperspectral and aerial LiDAR data fusion to map species of woody encroachment in West Texas rangelands.

My recent work has included the use of software packages such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMAP, ENVI, RStudio, Jupyter Notebook, and Google Earth Engine.
